Taught by VCUarts professor & figurative artist Miranda Reichhardt, this 6-week studio class provides the 2-Dimensional drawing foundations for an expressive exploration of portraiture through graphite and charcoal.

 

About Miranda: I am a Richmond-based professional artist and professor currently instructing for VCU (Arts Foundations, Painting & Printmaking departments) and for the Virginia Community College system. Since graduating with my MFA from UNCG in 2019, I have taught and developed over 70 postsecondary art courses. And with my experience in teaching a variety of face-to-face, hybrid, and online art courses across multiple colleges and universities, I thrive in recognizing and supporting student skill, voice, determination, and self-discovery as students explore their academic, creative, and professional pursuits in the arts.

Materials list provided after registration.  Classes are held in upstairs Studio 15 classroom.
