Birds and (Capy)Baras Are Taking Over the Gallery This July
Our gallery is dedicating the entire month to Birds and (Capy)Baras, a National Juried Exhibition celebrating two of our favorite animals. Birds dazzle us with their brilliant feathers, quirky personalities, and endless variety. Capybaras charm the world with their calm expressions, irresistible little bums, and remarkable ability to make friends with just about everyone, including birds.
If you have spent any time online, you have probably noticed that birds and capybaras seem to have formed one of nature’s most delightful partnerships. Whether perched on a capybara’s back or simply sharing space with perfect confidence, they remind us that the world can be wonderfully unexpected.
That joyful spirit is exactly what we have filled our gallery with this July.
This exhibition features forty-four amazing works celebrating birds, capybaras, and the magical combination of the two, with paintings, pottery, sculpture, fiber art, and more offering creative interpretations that capture their beauty, personality, humor, and undeniable charm.
Throughout the gallery, visitors will discover vibrant feathers, expressive beaks, curious faces, and yes, plenty of adorable capybaras. Each piece offers its own perspective on these beloved animals, creating an exhibition that is as heartwarming as it is entertaining.
The result is a joyful celebration of creativity, nature, and the simple pleasure of smiling at art. It is impossible to walk through the gallery without feeling just a little lighter, thanks to these charming creatures and the artists who have brought them to life.
Join us for the opening reception during First Friday on July 3 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. to celebrate this delightful exhibition and meet fellow art lovers. Birds and (Capy)Baras will remain on display from July 3 through August 2, so there will be plenty of time to stop by and enjoy this joyful flock of feathered friends and charming capybaras.
