This course will focus on how to achieve realistic textures in still life paintings including how to paint metal surfaces like copper and silver using the indirect method of painting. I will demonstrate each class and then we will work exclusively from life each session. Other textures we will explore will be fabric, flowers, marble, and wood grain. Previous drawing experience highly recommended. Material list provided after registration. Class held in the upstairs Studio 15 classroom.
