I’m an Architect and ceramic potter based in Fredericksburg, Virginia. My background in architecture shapes the way I think about form, structure, and detail, but clay gives me the freedom to work with my hands in a more immediate, tactile way. With pottery, the design decisions are similar, but in a completely different scale.

Most of my pieces feature sgraffito — carving through layers of slip to create patterns and images.

I make functional pottery meant to be used and enjoyed every day. For me, the best pieces are the ones that feel good in your hands, carry a bit of personality, and quietly become part of someone’s daily life.
