Did you know that printmaking and painting was done in caves at least 43,000 to 65,000 years ago? Before people wrote history down, they told their stories with hand prints and paintings of animals. In this camp, Elizabeth will help students explore three types of printmaking on paper (because we don’t have cave walls!!) They will decorate paper using a gelli plate mono-printing process, cut simple pattern printmaking blocks and use fun foam to create the illustrations for a story they write and a book they sew. They’ll be surprised by all we can make and do with printmaking! Class will be held in Studio 26!
