The landscape is where I begin. The forest and creek banks feed my soul. My paintings capture the changes of season and the times of day through color and space. The intense process of painting translates into quiet restful images. These images are my way of sharing that part of my life I consider both necessary and spiritual.
After receiving my bachelors degree from Texas Woman’s University in visual arts and education I began and forty-four year teaching career teaching art at the Junior College and Secondary Level. My ongoing education included graduate studies in printmaking at California State University in Los Angeles and Painting at Claremont University, Claremont, California. A move to the East coast gave me the opportunity to complete a masters degree in painting and printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University
